This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original Bidding. Documents dated December 20, 2019. Please note the bid date remains Friday, March 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Bidder must acknowledge receipt of the Addendum on the proposal form. Failure to do so may subject the Bidder to disqualification.
This Addendum consists of four (4) pages.
Responses to Questions
1. On Page 142423-20 a (3) “Costs related to interim maintenance shall NOT be included in the base bid quotation & indicated on the bid form provided with a deduction for unit(s) out of service for upgrading.” I do not understand where we are to allow for the interim maintenance. Please advise.
Interim maintenance is the maintenance that is performed under the requirements of the maintenance agreement and commences upon the award of the contract to the approved contractor, the interim period continues throughout the time frame of the upgrades with a deduction of the cost per elevator(s) when they are being upgraded. Upon the completion of the upgrade on the final elevator, the interim period expires and the 1-year
warranty period begins. An item has been added to the schedule of prices for the entry of the cost for the maintenance during this interim period.
2. On Page 042423-20 I assume the long term maintenance price is entered in line #9 of the new Schedule of Prices. Please confirm. Yes. The price for long term maintenance should be entered in line Item No. 9.
3. What forms must be submitted for the Maintenance Contract. There are many ages with blank spaces (for the contractor to complete) however, in the list of
ADDENDUM NO. 3 Bid No. 20-01, February 24, 2020 documents to submit the maintenance contract is not listed. Must the contractor submit a completed
Section 140120 Maintenance of Elevators?
Yes, the blank spaces in the section should be filled out completely, and submitted with the other
required bid documents.
